11 Security Agencies Donate GH₵1 Million to MahamaCares Fund
On June 21, 2025, 11 agencies under the Ministry for the Interior—including the Police Service, Immigration Service, Fire Service, Prisons, NADMO, NACOC, NIA, Gaming Commission, Refugees Board, Peace Council, and Small Arms Commission—together donated a total of GH₵1 million to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund (MahamaCares). The cheque was presented by IGP Christian Tetteh Yohuno to President John Mahama at Jubilee House. Breakdown of Contributions Ghana Police Service: GH₵580,000 Ghana Immigration Service: GH₵100,000 National Fire Service, Prisons Service, NADMO, NIA, Gaming Commission: GH₵50,000 each NACOC: GH₵10,000; Ghana Refugees Board: GH₵5,000; National Peace Council: GH₵5,000; Small Arms Commission: GH₵10,000Additionally, Minister Muntaka Mohammed Mubarak and Deputy Minister Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi donated GH₵50,000 and GH₵30,000 respectively.
