24-Hour Economy at Risk: Kofi Bentil Warns Ghana May Achieve Less Than 30% of Mahama’s Plan

n June 25, 2025, Kofi Bentil, Vice President of policy think tank IMANI Africa, issued a strong caution about the feasibility of John Mahama’s 24-hour economy proposal. Speaking on a policy review panel in Accra, Bentil said that unless critical systems are fixed, Ghana may achieve only 30% or less of the proposed benefits. “The idea is bold, but the structure to deliver it is weak,” Bentil stated.
