Three dead, others injured in multiple crash on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

At least three people, including a police inspector, have been confirmed dead following a multiple-vehicle crash involving five articulated trucks on Kara Bridge, inward Mowe, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Olanrewaju Ishola, confirmed the incident on Thursday at the scene of the crash. “We have a case of multiple accidents at the border between Ogun and Lagos State. Five vehicles were involved — all articulated trucks. Precisely, three people have been rescued from the scene,” Ishola said. He added that emergency teams, including the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), and other security agencies, were deployed early to assist with rescue operations. The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of interior designer Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche. She was allegedly killed by her ex-boyfriend, identified as Lintex, late on Wednesday night in her Lagos residence. According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, a native of Otukpo in Benue State, disguised as a dispatch rider to gain access to the estate where Deborah lived. When security guards became suspicious, he allegedly scaled the fence and forced his way into her apartment. Before breaking in, he reportedly tried to cause an explosion by cutting the cooking gas pipe outside the building.
