Borno’s Kirawa Community Pleads for Soldiers After Boko Haram Attacks

Residents of Kirawa community in Borno State are pleading for the deployment of soldiers after a series of devastating Boko Haram attacks destroyed homes, businesses, and left several people dead. The community, located near the Cameroon border, has suffered three major attacks. The most recent one, last Monday, resulted in two deaths. The terrorists burned down the district head's palace, about 50 houses and shops, and even destroyed heavy road-grading equipment. A resident, Mohammed Abubakar, explained that the absence of Cameroonian Multinational Joint Task Force soldiers, who were dislodged a month ago, has left them vulnerable.
