Troops kill terrorists, stop kidnappings in fresh raids

Nigerian troops have stepped up operations across several theatres, killing terrorists, foiling kidnap attempts and rescuing victims in different parts of the country. Gunmen Abduct Health Workers In Akure, Police Rescue Victims

Police confirm abduction of four in Oyo, launch rescue mission

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of four persons by suspected bandits along the Igbeti–Kishi Road in Oyo State. Police Public Relations Officer Ayanlade Olayinka said the victims were travelling in a vehicle on the route when the attackers struck and forced them into the bush. Troops rescue eight kidnapped wedding guests in Kano

Troops of 3 Brigade, Nigerian Army, have rescued eight of the 10 people abducted by suspected terrorists at a wedding in Dabawa, Shanono Local Government Area of Kano State. Bandits burn Niger police station, church, abduct five in fresh attack

Bandits have again attacked Agwara local government area of Niger State, burning the divisional police station and a church and abducting about five residents in an early morning raid. The gunmen stormed Agwara in the early hours of Sunday, first overrunning the local police station before setting it ablaze.
