Terrorists kill 34 fasting Muslims in Kebbi attack

At least 34 Muslims fasting for Ramadan have been killed in coordinated attacks on several villages in Kebbi State, northwestern Nigeria. The gunmen, described as terrorists by local officials, raided the communities on Tuesday evening. DSS charges ex AGF Malami, son with terrorism, firearms offences

The Department of State Services has arraigned former Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami and his son Abdulaziz before the Federal High Court in Abuja on terrorism and illegal firearms charges.​ They are facing a five count charge in case number FHC/ABJ/CR/63/2026. Prosecutors allege that while in office as Attorney General, Malami knowingly abetted terrorism financing by refusing to prosecute suspected terrorism financiers whose case files were sent to his office.​ Both men are also accused of unlawfully keeping firearms in their residence at Gesse Phase II in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State without lawful authority. Army rescues 62 hostages, kills two terrorists in Kebbi, Zamfara

The Nigerian Army has rescued 62 hostages and neutralised two terrorists in renewed operations against bandits in Kebbi and Zamfara states.
