Workers protest at NAFDAC office over sachet alcohol ban

Workers in the food and beverage sector on Thursday staged a protest at the Lagos office of NAFDAC, demanding a halt to the enforcement of the sachet alcohol ban and the reopening of sealed factories and depots. The demonstrators, mostly from affected distilleries, accused the agency of ignoring earlier interventions said to have come from the SGF and the National Security Adviser.​ The protesters, under the Food, Beverage and Tobacco Senior Staff Association, carried placards and chanted solidarity songs as they called for the release of products allegedly seized during recent enforcement operations. Actress and filmmaker Mary Njoku has questioned why many impressive CVs do not translate into successful hires, despite companies constantly complaining about the struggle to find good employees. FG to Train 7m Youths in Digital and Tech Skills
