Defence HQ says US strike in North West had federal approval

Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters has confirmed that the recent United States airstrike on terrorist targets in North West Nigeria was carried out with the approval of the Federal Government. Troops Kill Over 50 Terrorists, Repel Attacks in Borno, Yobe

Nigerian troops have killed more than 50 terrorists while repelling coordinated attacks on military locations in Borno and Yobe states. The military reported that the terrorists launched simultaneous assaults on troops' positions in Dikwa, Mafa, Gajibo, and Katarko in the early hours of Thursday.
