Israel Military: Iran Fired Nearly 30 Missiles at Israel Since Sunday

An Israeli military official says Iran has fired nearly 30 ballistic missiles towards Israel since Sunday night, marking the most serious flare-up between the two countries since a ceasefire paused the Iran war in April. The barrages followed Israeli strikes on military targets in Iran and Lebanon, including Hezbollah-linked sites in Beirut, late on Sunday. “Last night the Iranian regime began firing ballistic missiles towards Israel… they fired close to 30 ballistic missiles towards Israel,” the official told journalists on Monday, adding that Yemen’s Houthi rebels separately launched two missiles at the country. Palestinian Baby Killed by Israeli Gunfire in Occupied West Bank, Health Ministry Says

A seven-month-old Palestinian baby was killed and his parents wounded by Israeli gunfire in the Tel Rumeida area south of the West Bank city of Hebron on Friday evening, the Palestinian health ministry said. She said one bullet struck her grandson, traversed his face and crossed his head, striking his mother's cheek where it lodged, and that the bullet had also grazed the father's finger. The Israeli military said […]

Media watchdog Reporters Without Borders says Israeli forces killed the highest number of journalists in the world for the third year in a row, mainly in the Gaza Strip. The group stressed that many of the journalists were clearly identified as media workers and were killed while covering bombardments, displacement and humanitarian crises in Gaza. The report highlighted an August 25 “double tap” airstrike on a hospital in southern Gaza as the deadliest single incident. That attack killed five journalists, including two […]
