Ousted Iran shah’s son urges protesters to seize and hold city centres
Reza Pahlavi, the US based son of Iran’s ousted shah, has called on Iranians to step up their demonstrations by seizing and holding city centres during protests. In a video message on social media, he said the goal was no longer just to appear on the streets but to prepare to capture and control key urban areas. Pahlavi urged protesters to turn out in large numbers over the weekend and to gather from 6 pm carrying national flags and symbols. He framed the latest demonstrations as part of a broader “revolution” against the Islamic Republic and said he was preparing to return to Iran when conditions allow.
