Group Hails Ibas’ Leadership, Reforms in Rivers Under Emergency Rule
The National Patriotic Front (NPF) has commended the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd.), for what it described as bold and transformative reforms that have stabilised the state under emergency rule. In a weekend statement signed by its President, Marcus Dakas, the group said Ibas had restored calm, strengthened institutions, and initiated key projects that are reshaping Rivers’ development path. “Many feared emergency rule would deepen instability, but Admiral Ibas has turned it into a season of renewal. His interventions in security, infrastructure, and preparations for democratic transition deserve recognition from all Nigerians,” Dakas said.
