Dzifa Abla Gomashie, the Minister-designate for Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, has called for a review of taxes on the hospitality sector to improve Ghana’s tourism appeal. Speaking during her confirmation hearing before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, she noted that the high cost of hotel services in Ghana discourages budget-conscious travelers, making it hard for the country to compete with other African tourist destinations.She emphasized the urgent need for more hotel infrastructure to meet growing demand and support international events.
