Media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, says religion is not producing real results in Nigeria and is undermining the country’s development. He made the remarks on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast, where he questioned the impact of intense religiosity on people’s lives. Daddy Freeze argued that religion, as widely practised in Nigeria, has failed to deliver the prosperity, love and good governance that many preachers promise. Yemi Solade: My life more peaceful since leaving church

Veteran Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade, has revealed that his life has been more peaceful since he stopped attending church in 2013. Speaking on the Honest Bunch podcast, Solade said he decided to withdraw from church after a pastor cautioned him against working on Sundays, a move he found impractical as an actor responsible for his family’s wellbeing. He recalled, “I got into the church with my wife in 2013. I was told to tell producers not to call me for work on Sundays, and I found it disturbing.
