India’s new envoy meets Tinubu, vows deeper Nigeria–India ties
India’s newly appointed High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ambassador Abhishek Singh, has formally presented his Letter of Credence to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, marking the official start of his mission in the country. In a statement from the Indian Embassy, Tinubu was said to have warmly received Singh, congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success throughout his tour of duty. Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to strengthening its long standing strategic partnership with Nigeria and expressed confidence that cooperation between both countries will continue to expand in key sectors such as trade, technology, energy and development. The envoy added that he is committed to deepening Indo Nigerian bilateral relations and advancing shared priorities in the years ahead.
