Israeli airstrikes hit targets across Lebanon

Israel has launched a new wave of strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon, hitting several locations that the Israeli military says are linked to Hezbollah. Lebanon’s state run National News Agency reported multiple strikes on mountainous areas in both regions. The Israeli military said its forces targeted what it described as “terror infrastructure sites” in different parts of Lebanon. It said the targets included “a military compound used by Hezbollah to conduct training and courses” for members of the Iran backed group. In a separate statement, the army said its forces “a short while ago” struck a Hezbollah fighter in the Taybeh area of southern Lebanon. Gombe Governor Appoints New Health Ministry Permanent Secretary

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the appointment of Dr. Lawan Bala as the new Permanent Secretary for the State Ministry of Health. Dr. Bala was elevated from his previous position as the Executive Secretary of the Gombe State Hospital Management Services Board. The Head of Civil Service stated that the appointment is part of the administration's effort to strengthen leadership in the health sector following recent reforms, including the implementation of new salary structures for health workers. In a related move, the Governor also appointed Dr. Mohammed Abdulkadir as the new Executive Secretary of the Hospital Management Services Board. Both appointments are effective immediately.
