2027: Tinubu, Obi camps eye clash as Village Boys Movement launches
Supporters of President Bola Tinubu and Peter Obi are preparing for a fresh political battle ahead of the 2027 elections following the unveiling of the Village Boys Movement in Abuja. The new platform is designed as a grassroots civic movement and a direct response to the pro Tinubu City Boys structure. At the Abuja launch, conveners said the Village Boys Movement aims to mobilise voters in rural and semi urban communities who feel left out of elite driven politics. They stressed that the initiative is focused on good governance, accountability, economic inclusion and support for ordinary Nigerians.
