NDLEA arrests 93 year old man and doctor in nationwide drug raids
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a 93 year old man, a 69 year old medical doctor and several others in a nationwide crackdown on drug cartels. NDLEA Director of Media and Advocacy Femi Babafemi said the intelligence led operations were carried out across multiple states. In Abia State, operatives arrested 93 year old Pa Friday Ahukanna Chigbu at his home, where they recovered 7.7kg of cannabis, also known as skunk. He reportedly admitted that he had used the drug for a long time before turning it into a business. At Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, NDLEA officers arrested an Ivorian, Gohouri Michael, with 1.49kg of cocaine.
