Felix Kwakye Ofosu says MPs face immense pressure
Member of Parliament for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has described the role of MPs as one of the most challenging in Ghana’s governance structure. Speaking on Channel One, Mr. Ofosu admitted that he underestimated the weight of the position until he took office himself. “I must indicate that contesting and running for MP has opened my eyes to a lot of things. I used to underestimate the kind of stress that MPs come under,” he said. He explained that MPs face relentless pressure because they are the most visible and approachable representatives of their constituencies. “They are the face of the constituencies.
