Mahama Picks 10 Regional Minister Nominees for Approval.

President John Dramani Mahama has submitted a list of ten nominees for parliamentary approval as regional ministers. These nominees represent regions including Oti, Volta, Eastern, Northern, North East, Upper East, Ashanti, Ahafo, Savannah, and Greater Accra.Notably, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, the nominee for Greater Accra, is the only non-executive member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) among the group. Angry Youth Demand Exit of Former Government Appointees in Tema.

A group of irate youth stormed several public institutions in Tema on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, demanding the immediate resignation of appointees from the previous administration. Parliament Approves Vetting Committee for Mahama’s Ministerial Nominees.

Ghana’s Parliament has approved the composition of the Appointments Committee, tasked with vetting ministerial and key appointments for President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.The committee, chaired by First Deputy Speaker Bernard Ahiafor, will have Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah as Vice Chairperson.
