ISWAP attacks: Court exonerates DSS over terror suspect’s whereabouts
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has exonerated the Department of State Services (DSS) over allegations that it secretly detained and killed alleged ISWAP leader in Kogi, Yusuf Lukman Omeiza, who was linked to a series of terror attacks. The suit was filed by Omeiza’s relatives, Jimoh Yusuf and Fati Mohammed, who sought declarations that his alleged arrest, detention and killing without trial violated his right to life and demanded 10 billion naira in damages from the DSS and the Attorney General of the Federation.
