John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament-elect for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has announced free transportation for University of Ghana students traveling home for the Christmas holidays. The initiative, titled “Travel Home with John Dumelo,” will provide buses departing from Volta Hall Car Park on December 21, 2024, to destinations including Kumasi, Ho, Cape Coast, and Takoradi.The gesture follows Dumelo's victory in the December 7 parliamentary elections, where he unseated Lydia Alhassan of the NPP with a margin of 2,200 votes. Known for his close engagement with students, Dumelo’s efforts, including addressing accommodation issues and donating laptops, have earned him significant support among the university community.The move has been widely praised as a thoughtful and timely gesture ahead of the festive season.
