Singer Fola Recalls Working In Father’s Bet Shop Before Fame
Fast rising singer Fola has opened up on his humble beginnings, recalling how he worked in his father’s betting shop before his music career started to gain attention. He said his passion for music began in high school, where he played in a band even though he lacked the resources to pursue it professionally at the time. Fola explained that after finishing school, the struggle became tougher because he did not even own a phone. According to him, he had to rely on a friend’s phone to handle basic things related to his music and personal life. Seeing that opportunities were limited in Ibadan, he decided to work at a small betting shop owned by his father.
