French outrage over Trump’s Macron wife remark
There is growing anger in France after President Donald Trump mocked French President Emmanuel Macron by saying Macron is treated extremely badly by his wife, Brigitte. The comment was made during a private lunch and was captured in a short video that briefly appeared on official channels before being deleted. In the clip, Trump is heard saying that he called up France, Macron whose wife treats him extremely badly, adding that Macron is still recovering from the right to the jaw, a reference to a past video where Brigitte appeared to push Macron’s face on a plane.
