FG stops NAFDAC from enforcing sachet alcohol ban

The Federal Government has ordered the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control to stop enforcing the ban on sachet alcohol and 200ml PET bottle drinks. The directive followed concerns that continuing the crackdown could harm the economy and worsen security challenges in many communities.​ The order came through a joint intervention by the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and the Office of the National Security Adviser. Why impressive CVs don’t always secure the job – Mary Njoku

Actress and filmmaker Mary Njoku has questioned why many impressive CVs do not translate into successful hires, despite companies constantly complaining about the struggle to find good employees. Nigerian Army Short Service Recruitment Ends November 12

The Nigerian Army has announced that applications for the Short Service Combatant Course 49/2026 will close at midnight on Tuesday, November 12. The online application portal, which opened on October 9, has so far received tens of thousands of entries. According to Colonel Aminu Bello, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, the number of valid submissions is expected to surpass last year’s 48,000 applications.
