Recently capped Super Eagles defender Emmanuel Fernandez has crowned a brilliant first season at Glasgow Rangers by being named the club’s Men’s Player of the Year. The Nigerian centre back received the award at the club’s 2026 Player of the Year ceremony in Glasgow on Sunday night. International Friendly: Jordan Deny Eagles With Late Equaliser

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were denied back to back friendly wins after being held to a 2–2 draw by Jordan in Antalya, Turkey. Nigeria came from behind to lead 2–1, but a late equaliser from substitute Mohammad Al Daoud ensured the game ended all square. Jordan drew first blood in the 17th minute through Mousa Al Tamari, who finished off a well worked move to beat the Nigerian defence. Osimhen Aina miss out as Chelle names Super Eagles squad for Iran Jordan friendlies

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has left out in form striker Victor Osimhen and defender Ola Aina from his 23 man squad for this month’s international friendlies against Iran and Jordan in Turkey .
