NAF boosts civil military relations in Akwa Ibom with school project
The Nigerian Air Force has launched a new school project in Akwa Ibom State as part of efforts to strengthen civil military relations and support local development. The project, sited at Edemaya Unity College in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area, was delivered under the Chief of the Air Staff Special Intervention Project. The new block consists of three classrooms, a principal’s office and staff rooms built in honour of retired Air Vice Marshal Iboro Harry Etukudo, who hails from the area. Speaking on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, the Chief of Civil Military Relations, AVM Edward Gabkwet, said the intervention is meant to build trust and goodwill between the force and its host communities.
