Bono Region Launches Campaign to Prevent Rabies in Schools.

Following the tragic death of a 16-year-old boy bitten by a stray dog in the Jaman North District, educational authorities in the Bono Region have initiated a widespread rabies prevention campaign. The boy's passing, attributed to a lack of knowledge about proper dog bite management, prompted the Ghana Education Service (GES) and Veterinary Services Department to team up with local schools. This initiative will train 542 teachers and coordinators to educate students, teachers, and parents in 225 basic schools on rabies prevention.
