Police Arrest Two in Antokrom with 1,650 Slabs of Suspected Indian Hemp

In a significant drug bust, the Ghana Police Service has arrested two women in Antokrom, Eastern Region, for possessing a substantial quantity of suspected Indian hemp. The operation, conducted by the Eastern North Regional Police Command, led to the seizure of 1,650 slabs of the illicit substance. Details of the Operation Acting on intelligence, police officers raided the residence of 40-year-old landlady Hawa Ibrahim on May 14, 2025. During the search, they discovered 24 maxi bags containing compressed, ball-shaped substances suspected to be Indian hemp.
