Troops rescue 398 kidnap victims, arrest 31 terrorists – DHQ
The Defence Headquarters has announced that troops deployed across Nigeria rescued 398 kidnap victims, arrested 31 suspected terrorists and criminal collaborators, and neutralised 10 terrorists in recent operations nationwide. According to the DHQ, the troops are engaged in ongoing campaigns to rid the country of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and other criminal elements threatening national security. The operations, conducted across multiple theatres, combined ground assaults, airstrikes, and intelligence-led raids on identified terrorist hideouts, bandit camps, and kidnapping enclaves. During these missions, troops also recovered assorted weapons, ammunition, and other items used to support criminal activities, further degrading the operational capabilities of the groups targeted.
