Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has confirmed that 150 Ghanaians are currently being detained in various centres in the United States, awaiting deportation. The individuals are facing charges ranging from rape, internet fraud, to illegal entry into the US.Hon. Ablakwa made this disclosure during a parliamentary session on Wednesday, revealing that 50 of the detainees have already received final deportation orders and are expected to be repatriated by mid-year.
