Lookman is only Nigerian in AFCON 2025 group Best XI
Ademola Lookman is the only Super Eagles player named in the CAF Best XI for the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.The Atalanta forward earned his place after a dominant campaign that helped Nigeria win all three Group C matches and reach the Round of 16 as one of the tournament’s standout teams. Lookman contributed two goals and two assists in the group stage, with decisive performances against Tanzania and Tunisia where he scored once and set up another in each game.Analysts said his pace, direct running, creativity and intelligent movement between the lines made him one of the most dangerous players of the opening phase.
