Dangote Denies Ownership of Truck in Fatal Ondo Crash
The Dangote Group has officially denied that a truck involved in a fatal accident in Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, belongs to the company. In a statement released on Thursday, the conglomerate clarified that the truck with registration number JJJ 365 XB is not owned by Dangote or any of its subsidiaries. It stated that verified records show the vehicle is owned by an independent logistics company. The company emphasized that the truck was not carrying any Dangote products but was transporting crushed stones in reused sacks. It reiterated that all its official trucks are properly branded with company logos and fleet numbers for easy identification. Dangote expressed sympathy for the victims of the crash while urging the public and media to verify information before linking such incidents to its brand.
