Bongo Queen Mothers Call for United Efforts Against Teenage Pregnancy.

The Bongo Queen Mothers Association has urged stakeholders, including government agencies, traditional authorities, and religious leaders, to intensify collaborative efforts to address the rising rates of teenage pregnancy and early marriage in the district.Speaking at their 5th Anniversary Celebration, the association expressed concern about the increasing trend of young girls leaving school due to early pregnancies and marriages, despite past interventions.The Queen Mother of Bongo-Feo, Pognaba Agamboka Noyansonga-Kaisikoma, highlighted progress made between 2020 and 2022, where Bongo dropped from first to 11th position in teenage pregnancy cases among the 15 districts in the region. Kpetoe Market Gets Modern Health Facility to End Services Under Trees.

The residents of Kpetoe Market Center can now access healthcare in a modern facility, thanks to Hon. Charles Agbeve, MP for Agortime Ziope. Previously, health services were delivered under mango trees due to the absence of proper infrastructure. The new NHIS-funded health post, completed in three months, includes delivery and retention beds, OPD equipment, and electronic tools. Hon. Agbeve, who commissioned the facility on November 15, 2024, pledged further upgrades, including 24-hour services and additional amenities. Supported by World Vision International and other stakeholders, this CHPS compound will significantly improve healthcare delivery in the district.
