Canadian born Hollywood star Catherine O’Hara has died at the age of 71. The award winning actress, best known for her memorable roles in Home Alone and the hit TV series Schitt’s Creek, passed away at her home in the Brentwood area of Los Angeles on Friday, her agency Creative Artists Agency announced. The statement described her as a true comic genius, a true artist and a wonderful human being. Her agent of 35 years, Toni Howard, said it was a joy to represent her, noting that O’Hara brought wit, energy and exceptional comedic talent to every project, from her early days on SCTV to films such as Home Alone and Beetlejuice and her recent work on The Studio.
