Prioritise key reforms, CISLAC tells National Assembly

The Civil Society Legislative Advocacy Centre (CISLAC) has urged the 10th National Assembly to prioritise governance, accountability and key legislative reforms as it resumes sitting for 2026. The group warned lawmakers against early electioneering ahead of the 2027 polls, saying political distractions could undermine their work.​ In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Auwal Ibrahim Musa (Rafsanjani), CISLAC described 2026 as a critical year for both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and the legislature, with citizens expecting concrete results from policies rolled out since 2023.
