Ousted Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro has thanked his supporters in his first public message since being taken to the United States and jailed. The message was posted on his X account and was presented as coming from both Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, who is detained with him. Maduro and Flores have been held for almost three months at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Venezuela, Russia, China and UK voices urge US to free Maduro

Venezuela, Russia, China and political voices in the United Kingdom have called on the United States to release Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, after their capture in a US military operation over the weekend.
