Catherine and Charlotte play piano duet for Christmas

The Princess of Wales and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, shared a special musical moment this Christmas by performing a piano duet for a festive carol service. Although they did not appear live at the Together at Christmas concert held earlier this month at Westminster Abbey, their performance was recorded in advance at Windsor Castle. The duet was broadcast on Christmas Eve as part of ITV1’s coverage of the annual event. The piece performed, Holm Sound by Scottish composer Erland Cooper, is understood to be familiar to both mother and daughter and one they often enjoy playing together in private. During the recording, filmed in the Inner Hall at Windsor Castle, Catherine played the piano with her left hand, while Princess Charlotte accompanied her using only her right.
