Debbie Shokoya debunks claim that Obesere is her father
Nollywood actress and producer Debbie Shokoya has dismissed viral reports claiming that Fuji singer Abass Akande Obesere is her biological father. She described the allegation as completely false and said she has never had any form of contact with the musician. In a video posted on her Instagram page, Shokoya expressed anger and disappointment over the rumour. She stressed that she did not make any of the statements being circulated and questioned why anyone would create and spread such a story. The actress said the fake report had exposed her to a wave of insults and abusive comments online. She criticised some media platforms and commentators for failing to verify the information before publishing or amplifying it.
