Cambodia Calls for Immediate Ceasefire with Thailand

Cambodia has called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire with Thailand following intense border clashes that have resulted in dozens of deaths and extensive civilian displacement. What We Found The conflict, which began around July 24, 2025, escalated into the deadliest Thailand–Cambodia confrontation in over a decade. As of July 26, 2025, the death toll stands at 33—including 13 in Cambodia (8 civilians, 5 soldiers) and 20 in Thailand (14 civilians, 6 soldiers). Over 130,000 residents in Thailand and more than 35,000 in Cambodia have been displaced, as entire border communities seek refuge.
