CAF vows action after chaotic AFCON final in Rabat

The Confederation of African Football has condemned the chaotic scenes that marred the Africa Cup of Nations final between Morocco and Senegal in Rabat and has promised appropriate action against those found guilty. CAF did not apportion blame to either team but described the behaviour of some players and officials as unacceptable.​ The trouble began deep into added time of normal time with the score at 0 0, when referee Jean Jacques Ndala awarded hosts Morocco a penalty.
