Shettima says Borno mosque attack will not shake Nigeria’s security resolve

Vice President Kashim Shettima has condemned the bomb attack that killed about five people and injured several others at a mosque in Gamboru Market, Maiduguri, Borno State, calling it a despicable assault on innocent citizens and national peace. In a statement issued on Thursday by his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ordered an immediate boost in security operations in Borno to prevent further attacks and ensure those behind the bombing are arrested. He explained that additional tactical security teams are being deployed to the Gamboru Market area of Maiduguri to track and apprehend the perpetrators of the terror attack.
