Uche Ogbodo urges mothers to prioritise self care

Actress Uche Ogbodo has urged mothers to prioritise their own wellbeing and not lose their identity while caring for their families.​ In a post on Instagram, she highlighted the emotional and physical pressures of motherhood, warning that constant sacrifice without rest can lead to body shaming, fatigue and strained relationships. She said many women give so much to their children and husbands that they are left with nothing for themselves.​ Ogbodo noted that over time, these pressures can affect a woman’s confidence and mental health. She said stress can quietly build up until depression starts to make women feel they are no longer beautiful or enough.​ She stressed that motherhood should not cost women their identity, mental health or sense of worth.
