Clintons demand public hearing for Epstein testimony
Former US president Bill Clinton and ex secretary of state Hillary Clinton have asked that their upcoming testimony to Congress about ties to Jeffrey Epstein be held in public rather than behind closed doors. Both were ordered to give depositions before the Republican led House Oversight Committee, which is examining Epstein’s links to influential figures and how authorities handled information about his crimes. Hillary is scheduled to appear on February 26, with Bill to follow on February 27. Democrats argue the investigation is being used to attack political opponents of President Donald Trump, a longtime associate of Epstein who has not been called to testify.
