Ex-Police Commissioner Owoseni Withdraws From Oyo Accord Gov Primary

Former Lagos and Benue State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni (retd.), has reportedly withdrawn from the race for the Accord Party governorship ticket in Oyo State. Owoseni, who only recently picked the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms to join the 2027 governorship race, was expected to battle popular Ibadan-based broadcaster Oriyomi Hamzat for the Accord ticket. He had earlier said his ambition was driven by a desire to strengthen Accord as a people-focused party and offer credible leadership rather than engage in vote-buying or political intimidation.
