Actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has generated more than N6 billion at the Nigerian box office in the last five years, confirming her status as one of Nollywood’s most successful producers. In that period, she has repeatedly broken records and now dominates the list of the country’s highest grossing films. Her latest film, Behind The Scenes, has grossed over N1.7 billion in less than a month, making it the highest earning Nigerian movie in history and the biggest film of 2025. The movie has also added over €90,000 from UK cinemas, further boosting its overall tally.
