Gov Yusuf boasts: ‘I’ll do second term in APC, not NNPP’

Kano State governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that he plans to seek a second term in office on the platform of the All Progressives Congress rather than the New Nigeria Peoples Party. Yusuf recently defected from NNPP to APC after a prolonged political rift with his former ally, Rabiu Kwankwaso.  National Assembly Pushes for Timely Constitution Review

The National Assembly has reaffirmed its commitment to a timely and people-centered review of the 1999 Constitution. Speaking at a joint retreat in Lagos, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, urged lawmakers to work towards transmitting the first set of amendments to State Houses of Assembly before the end of the year.
