The United States has carried out fresh airstrikes on Iranian targets, prompting a retaliatory attack by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard on an American military base as tensions over the 2026 Iran war escalate again. Iran Confirms Death Of Revolutionary Guards Navy Commander

Iran has officially confirmed the death of Alireza Tangsiri, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy, days after an Israeli strike targeted a naval base in the south of the country. State media said he died from severe injuries sustained in the attack. Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz had earlier announced that a precise air operation killed Tangsiri and several other senior naval officers.
