PSC names conference hall after late ex-chairman Solomon Arase

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has renamed its Chairman’s conference hall after the late Solomon Arase, former Chairman of the Commission and 18th Inspector General of Police. In a statement on Thursday, the PSC’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, said the newly named “Solomon Arase Hall” is located on the sixth floor of the Commission’s headquarters in Abuja. “The Police Service Commission has named its Chairman’s Hall on the 6th floor of its Corporate headquarters, as Solomon Arase Hall in honour of its late Chairman,” Ani stated. Arase, who served as IGP between April 2015 and June 2016, was appointed Chairman of the PSC in 2023 and held the role until 2024. Lagos begins demolition of illegal buildings at Trade Fair Complex

The Lagos State Government on Thursday commenced the demolition of illegal and unsafe buildings at the Trade Fair Complex in Ojo, as part of efforts to restore order and enforce urban planning regulations.
