GFA Awaits CAF Decision on Stadiums for AFCON Qualifiers.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is currently awaiting the Confederation of African Football's (CAF) decision on the condition of the Accra and Cape Coast stadiums, which were recently inspected for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. CAF inspectors visited Ghana to assess these facilities following a request by the Ministry of Sports. The Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which hosted Ghana's previous match against Angola, was banned by CAF due to the poor state of the pitch.Speaking before Parliament’s Sports Select Committee, GFA President Kurt Okraku stated that the association has completed its part and is now waiting for CAF’s official feedback on the stadiums.
