Osimhen expected to be ready for Fenerbahce derby says Buruk
Galatasaray head coach Okan Buruk says Victor Osimhen should be fit in time for this weekend’s high stakes Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce. Osimhen travelled with the squad for Saturday’s Super Lig match away to Genclerbirligi in Ankara but was left out of the matchday squad. The 27 year old Nigerian has been sidelined since he suffered an arm injury in last month’s UEFA Champions League clash with Liverpool and later underwent successful surgery at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul. Buruk explained that although Osimhen has rejoined training, the striker still felt some physical fatigue. After discussions with the medical team and the player, the club decided not to rush him back and chose to manage his workload carefully to avoid any setback.
